Day One

Palermo

Our tour begins in Palermo, Sicily's beautiful capital. We'll start the day with a walking tour to get ourselves acquainted with its history and layout followed by a traditional Sicilian lunch. For the afternoon we are offering some optional activities of free time. We'll meet again for dinner. 

Included: Tour, lunch, dinner, hotel for the night of the 18th.

October 19, 2023

Day Two

Palermo

Our second day in Palermo we're going to get to know the food scene and locals a bit better with a street food and market tour. After the tour we're going to allow some free time to visit the beaches or some of the UNESCO heritage sites Palermo has. You may still be stuffed from the street food tour so tonight's dinner is not included.

October 20, 2023

Day Three

Agrigento

Today we bid arrivaderla to Palermo and head to the ancient city of Agrigento! First thing is we check out The Valley of the Temples, one of the most important sites showcasing classical culture. We'll enjoy a light lunch today so we can have plenty of time to explore the park. Later, after checking into our rooms, we can relax before enjoying another incredible meal together. 

Included: Breakfast, transportation to Agrigento, lunch, activities, dinner, and hotel.

Day Four

Agrigento

Day Four will be busy but we'll have so much fun visiting a cheese farm and eating cheese and lunch before your cooking class. You'll be making very local, traditional Sicilian dishes for our dinner with one of the best teachers around.

October 22, 2023

Day Five

Taormina

Today we cross Sicily and head to the sweet hilltop village of Taormina. We 'll walk around, shop, check out the ancient amphitheater, and have lunch.  Later afternoon we'll head to Acireale, where we can have a restful evening before our big day in Syracusa.  Once we all check in you can enjoy free time and dinner on your own.

Day Six

Syracuse

Day six brings us to the Syracusa, a city so rich with ancient history and architecture because it was once an major port for the ancient world. It's so incredible that we have to have a tour of the sites. Our day will be dedicated to this. Once we finish up, everyone will be released to relax, explore, and have dinner.

October 24, 2023

Day Seven

Catania

It's the last day of our tour and we cannot miss the fish market in Catania. Even if you are not a fan of seafood, you have to see it in action to believe the excitement and passion a food market brings. We'll do a guided tour with some tastings of items being sold at the market. It's an incredible experience. After, we can explore a bit of Catania and check out the beach if the weather is nice enough. We'll meet in the evening for our farewell dinner!!

October 25, 2023

Day Eight

Our tour has ended in Catania, city to one of Sicily's main airports. 

If you prefer to go on and explore more of Sicily, or even Malta, let us know. Otherwise we'll say good bye in the morning!

*The price does not include airfare or airport transfers or the hotel for the night of October 17th. We can arrange a hotel for you at an additional cost. 

*Please arrive in Palermo one day early prior to the tour start date of October 18th. 

*Activities are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. But we always find something fun to do! 

*Minimum guests 4 and a maximum of seven for this tour.  

*A deposit of $1500 will be due upon signing up. The remaining fee will be due September 1, 2023. 

*You will be asked to pay a deposit for the tour on an agreed upon date. That deposit will be 50% refundable until 30 days before departure. If the customer cancels within 30 days of departure, the deposit is forfeit and the remaining payment will be refunded minus a 3% administrative fee. If Kitchen Table Travel has to cancel for any reason, both deposit and payment will be 100% refunded.
