-
Wine-tasting experiences;
-
Getting to know the territory;
-
Meeting expats who live there; and

We will be based in Magliano in Toscana a small town known for its beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and its well-preserved Middle Age walls offering a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and the sea, and for its vineries.

What is a Home Buying tour?
An Innovative Way to Explore the Italian Real Estate Market
As featured in Italy Magazine, Kitchen Table Travel's home buying tours are designed to be an innovative experience by offering several experiences at once: an Italian tour with a deep dive into local and expat culture, a real estate market analysis, a look at property selection, and specific legal advice for purchasing a home in Italy.
These tours are a way for potential buyers to explore the Italian housing market, learn about the legal process of buying property in Italy, and if desired, buying property in Italy.
Along the way we have fun exploring the region through wine tastings and culinary adventures.
Why should I consider this opportunity?
This tour is directed to people who would like to buy a home in Italy and are ready to learn the process, legal steps, and taxation with a team of trusted Italian experts while at the same time assess if living in a particular area would really work for them in terms of facilities, activities, people, and local and expat culture.
The tour in no way implies obligation to purchase a property. We are more interested in crating a useful, informative, and fun experience.
How does the tour work?
Kitchen Table Travel has traditionally focused on food and wine experiences. We're taking this step to expand our services because we realized there's a need for clear and honest guidance from trustworthy sources. We've taken this idea a step further by hiring two Italian real estate attorneys to be present and provide advice during these tours.

We are offering a seven day trip to specific areas of Southern Tuscany (Maremma). We feel it's important for guests to become acquainted with the territory and get a feel for some of the local villages. We'll be exploring these areas with locals who have a deep knowledge and understanding of the area.

Prior to our tour, our guests will have filled out a questionnaire indicating the type of property they are interested in (a villa or apartment, country or historic center, etc.), the number of bedrooms and bathrooms required, outdoor space needs, and other relevant information for the type of homes they wish to see. As a group we will visit all of the properties to gain an understanding of what the market offers.

We'll meet with real estate agents, locals, and expats living in the area. That way we can gain a true understanding about what it's like to live or spend time in a particular area and find out true insights from expats who have made the move.

Our attorneys will be with us on the tour to offer the legal information they need to know to make informed decisions about property buying in Italy. From real estate agents to taxes and other steps involved in the process, our guests will learn to avoid expensive pitfalls.

If a participant decides not to buy a property during the tour, they'll be well prepared for future purchases and will have gained skills and overall knowledge regarding the housing market and the specific area. The takeaway will be the deeper understanding that only comes with a one on one experience.

If a participant does find a property that they wish to buy, in addition to all of the above, they'll be able to discuss it with our legal experts and gain preliminary advice to put forth a proposal.

And of course, because we are Kitchen Table Travel, we'll enhance your experience by visiting wineries and and learning about local, traditional foods.
